Founded in Washington, DC in 2024, TryAICode was born from the belief that AI should amplify developer talent, not replace it.
TryAICode was founded in early 2024 by Kevin Park and a small team of engineers who had spent years watching promising developers struggle not because they lacked talent, but because their tools failed to keep pace with modern codebases. Enterprise repositories had grown to millions of lines. Onboarding new engineers took weeks. Technical debt silently compounded.
The team set out to build an AI coding assistant that genuinely understood code - not just token patterns, but the semantic structure, architectural decisions, and team conventions embedded in a living codebase. After 14 months of research and development, TryAICode shipped its first public beta to 200 hand-selected teams in October 2024.
Every product decision starts with one question: does this make developers more effective? We measure success in productivity gains, not engagement metrics.
AI assistance is only valuable when it understands the full context of your work — not just the line you are typing, but the entire system it belongs to.
The best AI coding tools should make entire teams more coherent, not just individual contributors faster. Knowledge should flow across the organization.
